Climate Compensation at GOT YOUR BACK for 2025
In 2025, GOT YOUR BACK supported projects aimed at reducing CO2 emissions, achieving an estimated reduction of approximately 460 tons of CO2. This reduction is equivalent to the annual emissions of around 100 fossil fuel-powered passenger vehicles, as calculated using EPA guidelines.
While we strive to minimize the climate impact of our business operations, we acknowledge that some negative effects are inevitable. To address this, we calculate our estimated CO2 emissions based on comparable businesses in terms of type and size. This calculation includes factors such as employee commuting, energy consumption, and indirect effects. To ensure our compensation efforts exceed our emissions, we offset these estimates by 200%, guaranteeing that the projects we invest in reduce more CO2 than our operations produce.
For 2025, we have chosen to invest in four distinct projects to achieve these goals. All projects we support are verified according to internationally recognized standards, including the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and the Gold Standard.

Project Descriptions:
emPOWERing Africa
This initiative fosters entrepreneurship and innovation in renewable energy and climate adaptation across Africa. By providing local businesses with resources and expertise, the project supports sustainable development while reducing CO2 emissions. It empowers communities to build resilience against climate change and promotes economic growth.
Renewable Energy:
Focused on Asia's growing demand for sustainable energy sources, this project expands solar, wind, and hydropower production. By replacing fossil fuels with renewable alternatives, it reduces carbon emissions significantly and helps pave the way for a greener future.
Climate Project + Ocean Protection
This global initiative tackles plastic pollution in oceans while protecting marine ecosystems. Collaborating with Plastic Bank, it collects plastic waste in regions with inadequate waste management systems to prevent it from entering oceans. The project also raises awareness about marine conservation and its role in combating climate change.
Improved Cookstoves
This project distributes energy-efficient stoves to rural communities worldwide. These stoves reduce biomass usage and alleviate pressure on local forests while cutting smoke pollution. The initiative improves health outcomes for women and children—who are often responsible for cooking—and promotes economic development by supporting local stove production.
